Random Musings: A YouTube Channel that Brightens My Day (AKA Drawfee Appreciation Post)

I feel like everyone could use some fun and happiness and distraction in their life right now. So I’m here to give a recommendation that brings fun and happiness and joy to my life in the hopes that it will do the same for you.

This is my absolute favorite YouTube channel because it’s so fun and hilarious and entertaining. And the people are so respectful and wholesome (well, not everything they say is SFW or “watch it with your kids” wholesome, but, I don’t know, you’ll see what I mean if you watch) and great.

It’s just some artists (four of them now, though there used to be a different fourth, and sometimes they have guests) doing drawings. They’re great artists, but they usually do silly, fun drawings, and they chat and joke the whole time, and it’s so much better than my description makes it sound. Sometimes they draw based on a topic. Sometimes they do really awful 30 second drawings of characters from memory. Sometimes they even do DnD type things, but with drawings. They also do a lot of Twitch streams (which are now being made available on YouTube as well), and those are even sillier and a lot more chill. All of it is great!

So, in case you have some free time and need a laugh, here are some of my favorites of their videos!

This first one is the very first one I ever saw, and it’s the one that hooked me. In this one, they attempt to draw weird stock photos without seeing them. I still love when he’s trying to figure out where the knee goes.

This next one isn’t one my personal faves, but it’s one that got someone else hooked. And if you don’t watch a single full video in this post, you need to at least check out 32:13 because one of the hosts has the absolute BEST laugh that never fails to make me smile.

These aren’t necessarily my faves, but one of the hosts has the absolute BEST laugh, and it never fails to make me smile, and if you don’t watch a single full video in this post, you need to at least check out 3:41 in the first video and/or 35:06 in the second to hear it and smile too.

This one I just remember being really funny, the whole knock-off Scooby Doo crew they ended up with.

“I wanna do something cool like cyborg Grimace.” “Now that I’ve addressed focaccia bun on a burner…” This episode is full of out-of-context gold.

They’re such great artists, and yet, their awful 30 second drawing challenges are some of my faves because they’re so unintentionally hilarious.

They also have a fun, long-running joke about a room full of vampires that started with some of their early random shape videos, I think. So I don’t know if this is the best video to start with, but it’s a fun one. I love how they always create stories as they go, ways to tie all their drawings together.

They also have some great series. These are older, but some of their bad JRPG videos were a lot of fun, even though I’ve never played a JRPG in my life.

Their DnD-inspired series, Drawga, is also super fun. (Don’t be confused when he says it’s back. You didn’t miss anything. They did a previous season of it, but it wasn’t as good, and it’s completely separate from this one.) They also have one role-playing series that’s currently ongoing called Drawtectives, and it’s great too.

I think that’s enough recs to get everyone started 😛 Hopefully something here will catch your interest and make you laugh or smile, since I think we all could use more of that!

Nice. I’m definitely going to check out the Scooby one. It’s funny, I was never much of a Scooby fan until more recently (the Scooby Apocalypse comic helped) but now I kind of am. and hey the vampire one looks like a natural! 🙂 We definitely need distraction and good things now, thanks for sharing!

It’s such a fun channel, their videos are so great. I’ve never been a big Scooby-Doo fan, but I did have this one Scooby-Doo movie I watched a lot as a kid lol.
