Cover Characteristics: Book Covers featuring Toys

Ok, so, the meme guidelines suggest five books, and, when I first started looking, I didn't even think I was going to be able to find that many. It's a lot harder to find book covers with toys than you would think.

Seriously, I had a book saved with a hedge maze on the cover because I was desperate and mazes are like toys, right? Right?!

But then I searched "dolls" in the kindle store, and I kind of stumbled into some really awesome creepy, dark, dollhouse, down-the-rabbit-hole, Alice in Wonderland-esque section of Amazon that I didn't know existed.

Long story short, I have like four new books on my TBR read list and ten for my post. But hey, you can never have too many books.

Cover Characteristics is a weekly meme hosted at Sugar & Snark. This week’s topic is:

Books Covers Featuring Toys

Doll Face by Tim Curran | books, reading, book covers
The Doll Maker by Richard Montanari | books, reading, book covers
In the Land of Tea and Ravens by R.K. Ryals | books, reading, book covers
Secondhand Souls by Christopher Moore | books, reading, book covers
The Replacement by Brenna Yovanoff | books, reading, book covers

I may still have been a bit loose with my interpretation of “toys,” but I couldn’t resist bending it to include some of these covers. I definitely played with a tea set when I was younger, and while that mobile is not exactly made of child-friendly toys, I say it counts!

Dollhouse by Anya Allyn | books, reading, book covers
Paper Dolls by Anya Allyn | books, reading, book covers
Marionette by Anya Allyn | books, reading, book covers
Music Box by Anya Allyn | books, reading, book covers
Thirteen by Anya Allyn | books, reading, book covers

And as soon as I saw the covers on this series? *Swoon* I literally couldn’t decide on just one. You better believe I’ll be trying that first book as soon as I get a chance, and it better not disappoint me because these covers are so gorgeous that I NEED to own this entire series.
