Book Review: Starfall (Starflight Book 2) by Melissa Landers

Cassia fled her home planet and life of royalty years ago, but now she's getting dragged back into it against her will, and it will up to the crew of the Banshee to help her. Political machinations and a planet on the verge of war make things complicated though, especially when it comes to her and Kane's feelings for each other.

Review:

This book was pretty different from the first, not quite the same fun, adventure-y feel, but it was still good! I got more into it as it went on and moved away from Cassia’s royal political issues and back to space adventures. And it did end up being another gripping story.

I thought I would miss having Solara and Doran as main characters, but I ended up liking Kane and Cassia. To be honest, it was hard to really like Cassia for a while because of how she was treating Kane, but she was still a well-written character, and I came around to liking her in the end. Kane was easy to like from the start though. I also liked getting to see their relationship more. They clearly cared about each other, but Cassia struggled with that and tried to push away her feelings because she knew it would be a problem with her royal status.

It had been a while since I read Starflight, and I have to admit I didn’t remember much in the way of details, but that didn’t affect my enjoyment of this. It was nice to be back with the crew of the Banshee.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, and it was a satisfying conclusion to a fun space adventure duology!

*Even though each book in this series focuses on different main characters, I recommend reading them in order. I don’t super remember how important the first book was in regards to this one, but you might be lost in regards to some plot elements and character/relationship backgrounds.*

*Rating: 4 Stars // Read Date: 2019 // Format: Print*

I do remember liking the crew dynamics I think. Same here though- it’s been a while since I read this but I remember liking it, maybe not quite as much as book one.

It’s been a long time since I read Starfall, and I don’t remember that much about it. Maybe I should do a reread 🙂
    But I love that cover.
