Review:
I’m finding this review harder to write than the previous two because I liked all the same things! The dragons and their magic system were super interesting. The worlds (both Loom and Nova) were unique and so different from the type of society I live in and am used to reading about. The characters were intriguing. The plot continued along really well.
I also had the same dislike though, which was that I still didn’t love all the POVs. I just never really warmed up to Florence. I also found the book a bit slow at times.
But one thing I appreciated about this book in particular was how the author didn’t turn the brewing war/revolution/rebellion into just one giant battle scene that decided everything. Instead it was little things happening over time. Smaller attacks. Assassination attempts. Stealing resources. Shifting alliances. It felt very believable.
And since this was the final book, it gave us the ending. An ending that was kinda surprising, to me at least. An ending that gave just the right amount of closure without going overboard.
Overall, the dragons and the magic system and the world were interesting, the story was great, the whole series was unique, and I really liked it!

That’s the best, when you’re satisfied with a series ending. Oh and I love this cover! I think it’s the colors😁
Definitely 🙂 I love the cover too!
What is it about these covers that I love so much? They’re always great! And I like the sound of believable different societies/ I think that’s one of the things I like most about fantasy- the chance to explore other, more interesting worlds lol.
They really are great covers! Not enough fantasy books explore unique worlds, there’s so much potential there.
I’m glad to hear you enjoyed this entire series even though not every aspect of it. I need to try to pick this one up!
I hope you like them if you do get the chance to try them!
I’m glad to hear the series has a satisfying ending. I have the first book on my kindle to read but haven’t gotten around to it yet.
You should try it!
I totally get what you mean when you say it’s more of the same with your review. Sometimes it’s hard to find new words to explain why you’re enjoying a series especially when you’ve reviewed previous books and feel like you’ve said it all before. It does kind like the series is continuing on strong and I really want to ontinue reading it.
It IS hard sometimes! But this was a great series 🙂
I did enjoy the first two a lot but the dislike of some of the POVs is what got to me in the second book. I am still excited for the finale though. And it sounds very refreshing that she does the thing where it is not one big final battle but is eased in with little pieces. I am looking forward to it!
Yeah, not liking some POVs can really impact enjoyment. You should read the final book though!
