Bookish Tag Post: Book Title Book Tag

I found this tag at Dinasoaur, the original is from the ReadingRealm booktube channel, and it seemed like a really good one since you don’t have to have read any of the same books or even have the same taste as any other readers/bloggers in order to have fun with it. It’s just all about titles! And I stuck mostly to titles of books I’ve read since I would’ve had too much choice and gotten overwhelmed otherwise. So anyway, let’s do this! And as usual, everyone is tagged 🙂

1. Title that’s the story of your life

Never Sleep by Cady Vance

I found a couple serious ones, a couple funny ones, but I’m going with one that’s kind of a combo—Never Sleep since, after five years of having a chronic illness, I do feel like I never sleep lol.

2. Title that describes your perfect weekend

The Nightlife: New York by Travis Luedke

The Nightlife: New York because I went to NY with my parents when I was 15, and I loved it and have always wanted to go back not with my parents now that I’m older and could have more fun.

3. Title of an adventure you’d like to go on

To Summon a Vampire by Soraya Cage

To Summon a Vampire. I suppose that’s not so much an adventure you’d go on but rather one that would come to you. I imagine it would be pretty exciting if you survived lol.

4. Title you want to name your child

Sparrow Man by M.R. Pritchard

Sparrow Man. Well, not the “Man” part. But the “Sparrow” part? That actually would be a pretty name.

5. Title of your ideal job

Girl on a Wire by Gwenda Bond

Girl on a Wire. Ok, I wouldn’t want to be the wire walker specifically, but I didn’t have a book titled, “Girl on the Silk” or something, so I had to make do. And all joking aside, being a circus performer was exactly what my dream job was before my illness. But if I were choosing a fantasy kinda job… either The Master Magician or Libriomancer, for obvious reasons!

6. Title of a place you’d like to visit

The Moonlight Market by Aidee Ladnier

The Moonlight Market because the name alone would make me want to go, but I’ve also read the book, and the whole thing takes place at the Moonlight Market, and it was definitely an interesting place.

7. Title of your love life

The Boy in Her Dreams by Laeken Zea Kemp

The Boy in Her Dreams. Get it? He’s in my dreams because that’s the only place I have a love life right now! Haha, I crack myself up sometimes 😉 I also considered using Gone by the Board.

8. Questions you ask yourself

What Could Possibly Go Wrong? by Jodi Taylor

I haven’t read this one, but the title was too perfect not to use. I do ask myself this question, but not in the ironic, “it’ll be fine” kinda way. I subconsciously ask myself this, and then I answer it with all the many and varied things that could in fact go wrong lol.

9. Title of a kingdom you want to rule OR name

The Land of Night by Kirby Crow

The Land of Night because are you kidding?! I totally want to rule a land of night! I LOVE the night. Night is my jam.

10. Title you’d name your band.

Broken Symmetry by Dan Rix

Broken Symmetry. I don’t know, I just like how that sounds!

You picked some fun book titles for this one! I especially like Broken Symmetry for the band name, it just sounds nice and it makes me curious what kind of music it would make.

I also ask myself the what could possible go wrong question. That’s sad your illness caused you not to be able to do your dream job :(.

NY is one of those places I have no urge to visit at all. Somehow it just doesn’t appeal to me, except for maybe Central park, lol. I would much prefer a nice trip to some nature rich place.

Sparrow does sound like it would make for a neat name.

    1. Kristen Burns

Thanks! It would be such a cool band name lol. I envision like alt rock or punk or something, but maybe that’s just because that’s the kinda music I like.

It does hurt that I had to give up circus, but I’m glad I at least still have books and that I got back into reading eventually.

Maybe you just don’t like big crowds? Or is it just the hustle and bustle, big city thing? I’ve lived my whole life in big cities and used to love crowds. I don’t know that I’d want to live in NY, but just to visit for a short while always seemed amazing.

      1. Lola

I think alt rock or punk would fit the band name. Or some type of hauntingly instrumental music maybe.

I don’t like big crowds and the hustle and bustle of the big city, so it’s both of those. And I am afraid of height and every time I see a picture of NY all those high buildings just freak me out. I can’t imagine being surrounded by such high buildings on all sides. I hope you get to visit NY again one day :).

I actually always lived in a city too, but usually on the outskirts or quieter parts and I never really liked the big city life. I have dreams to move to a small town one day.

        1. Kristen Burns

Hmm, you’re right, it would work well for the instrumental too!

Ok so yeah, NY is probably not the place for you lol. I don’t have a fear of heights, so that doesn’t bother me.

I mean, I live in the suburbs too, but still. I would absolutely not want to move to a small town lol.

  2. Angela

What a fun tag! I love the title you chose for “questions you ask yourself” – What Could Possibly Go Wrong? Ha! And I’m the same way, I think of every little thing, plausible or not!

  3. suzanna

Love this book tag. Sparrow would be an awesome name. Shame you never got to try your dream job, although I wouldn’t want to work in a circus. It’d be waaaaaay too much hard work!

    1. Kristen Burns

It’d be such a pretty name! And thanks. It is definitely a lot of hard work and bruises and whatnot lol, but when it’s your passion, it’s also fun!

  4. Greg

Ooh I like that cover of Never Sleep. Gave me a quick cyberpunk vibe although when I looked closer I guess it’s not? IDK. And The Nightlife New York- plus she’s a vamp too? I feel like vamps plus NYC would be a killer combo.

The moonlight Market sounds like an evocative place. LOL about #8- I would just add what ELSE could possibly go wrong? 🙂

Broken symmetry- cool name. another killer cover.

    1. Kristen Burns

Not quite cyberpunk, but it is sci-fi! Almost like sci-fi + that movie/book… crap. The one with the dares lol. Because the characters in Never Sleep were running around the city on a scavenger hunt. The ending got kinda… random though. I didn’t continue the series. Yep, a lady vamp!

The Moonlight Market was such a cool place! Oh gosh, yes, “What else could possibly go wrong?” is like the story of my life lol.

I do love that title. Really cool premise and plot too.

  5. Molly @ Molly's Book Nook

HAHAH 7 and 8 made me laugh. “What could possibly go wrong?” HOW did you find such a perfect title. And “Boy in her dreams” lolol sorry. those were good. This seems like a fun tag, I need to do it !

    1. Kristen Burns

Honestly I think I started searching the five Ws in the Amazon books section since I didn’t have any books that had questions lol. I’m glad someone liked my joked about The Boy in Her Dreams 😛 You should definitely do this one!

  6. Ashley G.

I love your 1st answer, as well as the 7th and 8th. XD And the last one definitely sounds like a good band name. Catching Fire kinda sounds like it could be a band name too, and This Dark Duet.

  7. Inge

I love this tag! I haven’t read the book, but the Moonlight Market just sounds so ethereally beautiful, and I love the name Sparrow! Plus KITTY. ♥

    1. Kristen Burns

The Moonlight Market was so circus-y and interesting and magical and fun! And Sparrow would be such a pretty name. Not my cat unfortunately, just a stock photo, but I agree it’s cute!

  8. Danya @ Fine Print

Some very solid choices here, Kristen! Night Life: New York is a great night out theme and I’d totally pick that too, especially since I also went to NYC with my parents when I was too young to *really* enjoy it. Libriomancer would be an epic job title, and Broken Symmetry would be a great name for a band! For an adventure I’d like to go on, I’d choose “The Voyage of the Basilisk” for seafaring adventures and dragon chasing!

    1. Kristen Burns

Haha I love that we both have the same reason for wanting to go back to NY! Seriously, having book magic would be awesome, right? Oh gosh, no, I won’t be going on that adventure with you. I hate boats!

  9. kris @ lemon-notes

Hahaha I’m cracking up at what could possibly go wrong?? Like, actually, brain, EVERYTHING COULD and often DOES go wrong. 😛
Also heck yes to boy in her dreams because LOL what is a love life that is not imaginary?? I can’t remember.
I’ll summon a vampire with ya, hands down.
I always wanted to join Cirque du Soleil and just run away with them. That would probably be the most epic adventure in my life. I want to do this. CURSES FOR REMINDING ME OF THIS. Shame on your cow.
The name sparrow is a splendid one!! Actually, one of the characters in Strange The Dreamer is named Sparrow and she is so cute and sweet and I love her. 10/10 naming.

    1. Kristen Burns

Right? Story of my life lol. And also yeah I don’t remember what it’s like to have a love life that’s imaginary either, haha.

YAY I HAVE SOMEONE TO SUMMON THE VAMPIRE WITH ME. But I call dibs if he’s a sexy one 😉

No, dishonor on YOUR cow for not joining Cirque du Soleil!

The character named Sparrow in Sparrow Man is, well, a man lol. But oddly enough I never considered the gender of the name until I made this post. Guess it works for both!

  10. Becky @ A Fool's Ingenuity

You’re the second person I’ve seen do this tag and it looks fun (and hard). I did laugh at your love life book title, I’m with you on that one, the only place I have a love life lately is in my dreams. I’m cool with that but you just know that’s the question you get whenever there’s a family party. And the question you ask yourself, I am always saying stuff like that. Or what’s the worst that could happen? I know I’m tempting fate but oh well.

I’m adding this to my list of tags I want to get around to doing eventually (give my 6 months).

I’m definitely going to have to do this tag at some point! It seems really fun. I also always ask myself what could possibly go wrong…. anxiety is so fun

  13. Olivia Roach

This tag actually made me laugh from the first answer. Never Sleep totally goes for me. I also really liked the questions you ask yourself as a title answer. I totally ask myself that sometimes too 😀 And then well, everything somehow DOES go wrong xD

    1. Kristen Burns

Lol I try 😛 And right? Are we just jinxing ourselves by asking that question? Because it does seem like everything does go wrong half the time.
