Bookish Tag Post: Christmas Book Covers Tag [Original]

I wanted to do something Christmassy and simple and fun today since Christmas is less than a week away. A few years back, I did a Halloween book covers tag, so I thought I’d do one for this holiday too. My tags are chill, so if you want to join, the only rule is to give me credit by linking back to this post! Some of the topics are difficult, so if you want to skip them or replace them or do your own interpretation of them, go ahead. They don’t have to be Christmas books, I just happen to have a lot of those. Do it however you want, blogging should be about having fun!

I will also link to some reviews that I have, in case you want to know more about some of these books!

Baked Goods

Disarming Donner by Charlie Cochet

Disarming Donner by Charlie Cochet – This is a really cute m/m series (a different couple in each book) about elves and other Christmas beings set in the North Pole, and the covers are all fun and cute. [ My Review ]

Lights

All I Want for Christmas is a Faerie Assassin?! by H. L. McFarlane

All I Want for Christmas is a Faerie Assassin?! by H. L. Mcfarlane – Another fun Christmas story, and this cover combines the urban fantasy style with Christmas so nicely! [ My Review ]

Red

Anna and the Apocalypse by Katharine Turner

Anna and the Apocalypse by Katharine Turner – This is such a pretty cover, despite the, uh, bloodied weapons. Didn’t love the book, but I do recommend the movie! (Though it did make me sad.)

Green

The Master Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg

The Master Magician by Charlie N. Holmberg – I like these books, and they all have such nicely designed covers, each with a different accent color. [ My Review ]

Bonus: Red & Green

Robber Girl by S. T. Gibson

Robber Girl by S. T. Gibson – I wasn’t going to include a “red & green” category because it’s not a color combo you find often, but I just happened to see this one in an older post of mine and thought I’d share it since it’s such a pretty cover!

Snow

Black Snow by EAB

Black Snow by EAB – I just think this cover is gorgeous. Loved the story too. [ My Review ]

Snow Globe

Wintersong by S. Jae Jones

Wintersong by S. Jae-Jones – I’ve always thought this cover was pretty.

Warm Drink

The Prince and the Troll by Rainbow Rowell

The Prince and the Troll by Rainbow Rowell – This was a hard topic, and this was the only cover I found for it, and luckily it’s a pretty one!

Music

Goldfinch Vol. 1 Kickstarter Promo Image

Goldfinch Vol. 1 by Sam Bowen & Ari Pluchinsky – I cheated for this one because it was a hard topic. This isn’t a cover, but it was the Kickstarter promo image for the book! And I think it’s real pretty, and it has people singing and playing instruments on stage in the background with a really fun vibe.

Reindeer (Or Any Animal, If That’s Too Hard)

Foreign to You by Jeremy Martin

Foreign to You by Jeremy Martin – I wasn’t even going to include reindeer, but then I came across this one in an old post of mine as well and figured what the hay! (Get it? Hay? Reindeer probably eat hay, right?) Anyway, I’m not even sure if these are reindeer, but it’s close enough, and the cover is pretty.

Tree

Ever After by Riley Hart & Christina Lee

Ever After by Riley Hart & Christina Lee – This is a cute cover (and a cute story set in a fantasy world, though without magic). I probably could’ve found something better for “tree,” but there are trees in the background, and they look like snow-covered Christmas trees, and I just like this cover, so I say it counts! [ My Review ]

Gifts

Scrudge & Barley, Inc. by John Inman

Scrudge & Barley, Inc. by John Inman – I feel like I always have to say, don’t let this cover fool you, this is actually a very touching book. But I also think the cover is very fun! [ My Review ]

Something Christmassy

Not Over Yet by Barbara Elsborg

Not Over Yet by Barbara Elsborg – Doesn’t get much more Christmassy than Santa!

I wanted to read some Christmasy books this season and I failed miserably. Oh well. 🙂 I can get in the spirit I guess through tags and posts like this! I love the idea of stories set at the North Pole, for some reason. I love the idea of a faerie assassin too…

Anna and the Apocalypse is a great cover.

Black Snow I think I remember.

Go wherever the reading mood takes you lol. Mine just takes me to Christmas books in December.

Anna and the Apoc has such a great simple but striking cover, and ugh I love the Black Snow cover and book so you prob do remember me talking about it a lot!
