In The Vampire Grinch, a Christmas-loving human and his Christmas-hating vampire boyfriend fight and make up just in time to celebrate the holiday. In Vampire Claus, a vampire and a human meet on Christmas Eve and deliver gifts to children. In The Vampire’s Dinner, a vampire hires a companion each Christmas to tell his truth to before draining them, but this year’s victim changes things up by offering a deal. Not only did I manage to find paranormal Christmas stories, all three of these are about vampires! Very on-brand for me 😉 Enjoy my mini reviews for these three m/m paranormal Christmas novellas/shorts!
The Vampire Grinch by Lacey-Anne Frye
This was sweet and a nice little story to read in one sitting when I was in the mood for something Christmas-y. There were a couple slightly misogynistic remarks from characters, if I recall correctly, so just a bit of a warning there. Malcolm was also kind of a jerk when he just thought it was sexy when Gavin was angry at him. But overall this was an enjoyable quick read, and the relationship and story did feel nicely realistic.

Vampire Claus by Robert Winter
This was fun and cute as a cheesy Christmas book. I might've enjoyed this more had I read it the normal way since the audiobook, narrated by the author, wasn't the worst but wasn't the best either (neither the character voices nor the audio quality). It also seemed like the author found a list of slang words and just shoved as many of them into Paul's speech as possible. But this was a cute story about a vampire finding love and joy on Christmas Eve. I enjoyed it.

The Vampire's Dinner by TJ Nichols
This was pretty short (Amazon says 67 pages, but it ends at about 75%, so it's a bit shorter than that even) and not super Christmas-y, but I liked it! I loved this vampire, how it was fun for him to toy with his chosen victims---not to make them terrified, but just to push them a bit, hear their hearts speed up, see how much of his vampire-ness they'd ignore and try to write off as having other explanations. I liked the human too, how he thought quickly and managed to change the situation to his favor. I'm not sure if this exactly qualifies as a romance since it's implied they might end up together but is an open ending. It was cute though, and there was some sex and pleasurable biting. Also, a disabled vampire! Who didn't have special abilities that canceled out the disability! He used a cane because he had a bad leg. Overall, this was an enjoyable quick read.

Vampires are one of my favorites.
