Outer space is, well, scary, if I'm being honest. But also cool! In fiction, at least. So I have compiled a list of books that are set in space and on other planets and also gay. (A term I am using broadly, since these are mostly m/m, but there is one about a nonbinary character.) About half are romance-centric, the other half have some romance but it's small or not the only focus. But I enjoyed...

A lonely, destitute teen enters a contest to win a free meal at a prestigious restaurant because he's hungry, but when the head chef speaks to him, he decides to plan an entire meal event around Kenna's religion. Kenna learns about cooking, makes friends, falls for a boy working in the kitchen, discovers hard truths about his parents, and has his life changed...
Happy Halloween! Even though I'm not actually doing anything to celebrate. It's just a normal Sunday for me. Last month I was telling everyone to watch Dragonheart (which you still should, if you haven't). This month I'm telling everyone to watch Sunshine (2007)! It was another rewatch, about 11 years since I'd last seen this one. It's such a fantastic sort of sci-fi thriller. It absolutely...
Teal is such a pretty color, isn't it? It's not surprising that such a pretty color makes for pretty book covers! It was, however, difficult to find shades that matched, so some of these are more blue, some are more green, but none of these quite fit with the the blue and green posts, so I've stuck them all together here! Enjoy...
I love covers that are black and white with just one true color because it really makes that one color POP. And even though these covers can be enjoyed year-round, what better to time to share some awesome black, white, and orange book covers than October? No better time, I think. So here some great, orange-filled book...
I don't have a lot of real life news, but I did have a pretty good book week. And I'm in a very circus-y mood now! Even though they weren't really about circus, The Dark Carousel series I read this week had a lot of mentions of circuses and carnivals, both of which I love--the fun kinds and the creepy kinds. Something about them is just so inherently creepy without even trying. Maybe The Immortal...
This TTT topic could not have come at a more PERFECT time. I almost never plan my books ahead of time. I read whatever I feel like reading whenever I feel like reading it. I did plan books this month because I just so happen to be doing my own Series September Reading Challenge, but that's also the reason I now have a whole list of books I didn't get to read when I stumbled upon them the past few...
