Bookish Musings: Top Ten Books/Series I Read in 2020 + Some Non-Bookish Things

*Announcer voice blasts out over the speakers*: And now... it's time for the main event! The cream of the crop! The cherry on top! The one, the only, the top ten books of the year post! RAAAAAAHHHHHHHH (Just humor me and imagine crowd sounds here.) Well that was fun! Maybe I should intro all my blog posts with an announcer... Anyway, this has been a weird year. Perhaps that explains why it was...

Update: Life and Books (Feb 2020)

So, February is over, and it's been... a month. Not a good one, not a particularly worse than usual one, just a month, for me, at least. I tried three weeks of physical therapy for my weird nerve problem in my forehead, but I don't know if it's helped at all, and I'm just completely exhausted. My body can't take leaving the house that much. I'm going to try continuing with using a TENS machine...

Bookish Musings: Top Ten Books I Read in 2017

Yay, it's finally that time when I get to rave and fangirl about my favorite books of the year! Am I the only one who spends pretty much the entire year looking forward to this post? Anyway, as per usual, I made the graphic before the post, and, well, I have 11 instead of 10. (Well, technically I have 22 because of series.) But the more the merrier, right? Definitely. More books always = more...

The Weekly Update: 5/21/17

I didn't do a Weekly Update last week, so I'm doubling up on this one so that none of the books I received or reviewed would get neglected. Unfortunately, *sigh* I've not had a great week. I feel like my body is falling apart. As if I didn't have enough health problems already, I think I may have nerve damage or something because the shin/ankle area in one leg has been numb-ish all week. I have...

Book Review: Real Vampires Do It in the Dark (Real Vampires Don’t Sparkle Book 2) by Amy Fecteau [+ Audiobook]

When Matheus and Quin get into an argument and Quin leaves, Matheus finds himself alone, homeless, and broke in the middle of a dangerous feud among the remaining vampire leaders. Despite their distaste for each other, Matheus and Alistair come together to figure out what to do about Apollonia's reign and how to find and get back Quin. *This is a repost, but I've reread the book and changed the...

The Weekly Update: 5/7/17

Why is it still sporadically reaching lows of 62 in May in a place where we don't even get winter? And who thought 9 in the morning on a Saturday was a good time to feed a whole tree through a wood chipper right outside my window? These are the burning questions I have this week. Other than that, I ain't got no real life news. Doing lots of different things for my tennis elbow and trying to...

The Weekly Update: 1/31/16

Wow, I have definitely gotten off to a great bookish/bloggy start this year! I finally started taking my blog more seriously and getting the hang of things this past month, and I'm happy about that. Normally I just talk about the week, but with this post falling exactly on January 31st, I couldn't resist doing a bit of an update about the whole month :-) So what are all these good things you ask?...
