Updates & Info: The Weekly Update (1) + Embarrassing Insight Into My Chronic Indecision a la Big Bang Theory References

Whew, that was a long title.

But everyone get excited because I'm trying out a new blog feature!

I really want to use my blog to connect with others and want to make sure there's always a personal element to it, plus I love sharing awesome stuff I've found (and since I started blogging I've been finding even more of it). That's why every Sunday I'm going to post an update about any new things going on in my blog and/or my real life plus the best books, songs, videos, etc. I've found that week, and I'd love it if my lovely readers would join in and share any cool things you've found, too!

Revamped Comments Section
I used the Twentytwelve theme for the basic framework of the files and whatnot, but, aside from that, I basically coded this blog myself, so I was ashamed for not being able to figure out how to fix the damn comment section. I kept looking at other people’s and thinking, how did they make it so pretty?! I finally figured it out though, so leave a comment to check it out!

Related Posts Section
I also added a related posts section–yay more coding! It’s stretching the pictures on mobiles and tablets though, so I’m still working on it.

Still No Blog Name
As I’ve said MANY times already in my short period of time blogging, I’m horribly indecisive. Have you seen that episode of Big Bang Theory when Sheldon tries to decide on a gaming system and ends up sitting on the floor of the store for hours?

That’s LITERALLY how my indecision is. I LITERALLY have that same back-and-forth thought process. I have LITERALLY sat on the floor of stores trying to decide which product to buy or which video to rent. Really, I’m not kidding. It’s not my best trait, but I own up to it.

The problem is that I want to give my blog a name or at least a better tagline but just can’t decide. I have a few in mind, but they all seem wrong for some reason or another.

I Won a Giveaway!
Thanks to Anya at On Starships & Dragonwings I now have $5 to go towards buying Flex by Ferrett Steinmetz which I have been DYING to read, and I’m broke so I need all the $5 gift cards I can get lol. If you like sci-fi and fantasy, check out her blog for reviews and weekly giveaways!

Book of the Week:
Neverland (Adventures in Neverland Book 1) by Anna Katmore – I didn’t read any books worth recommending this week, but I did stumble upon this Peter Pan story about a girl who travels to Neverland and falls in love with Hook that I can’t wait to read.

Song of the Week:
“Tip of My Tongue” by The Civil Wars – Finding new songs is definitely the best part of my newfound love of playlist-making, and this one is BEAUTIFUL. If you like this one, I suggest checking out the Divergent Trilogy playlists since all the songs are similar.

Video of the Week:
Backwards Book Title Challenge @BooksandLala – I just discovered BookTube this week and am kind of loving it. This video is hilarious!

I love all your images, you’re a talented designer! I’m just starting to get the hang of design and blogging. It’s hard stuff! Your design looks great 🙂

Thank you so much! You’ve made me smile 🙂 But I still keep doubting everything, looking at other blogs and thinking, that one is so much prettier, this one matches so much better, that one has such perfect graphics… and then I go right back to hating it and trying to figure out how to make it better lol. It’s all fun though. Frustrating at times, but fun.
