I didn’t have a post planned for today and didn’t feel up to doing a lot of work, and I’ve been obsessed with Project Zomboid lately, so this seemed the perfect solution!

If you’re not familiar with Project Zomboid, it’s basically The Sims with zombies. Your character (I never know what to call them) has needs, there are survival elements, there’s lots of crafting, and there are zombies trying to chomp on you. Or not! Because it’s super customizable. But that’s enough explanation, you can find my full review here.

I’ve chosen the most entertaining tweets or the ones that highlight some cool details and features in the game. I tend to switch between various saves and start new games randomly before going back to old ones, so the tweets do jump around some. Ok this may have been a mistake. I got so stressed in the TUTORIAL when they told me zombies were coming that I missed the part that told me to run to a specific place and instead just immediately ran into the woods and proceeded to trip over every single tree and bush 🤣

So I turned off the zombies and basically turned #ProjectZomboid into a cooking sim and lost like 4 hours of my life completely absorbed in finding and choosing ingredients for my little guy to make meals with 😅

I know that's not quite the point of the game, but I had fun 🤷‍♂️

Tried the CDDA challenge just for funsies (just to see how fast I would die, you start naked, drunk, injured, with a cold, in a burning house). Caught on fire almost immediately, died in 7 minutes in-game 😂 Second try, killed 1 zombie and survived 2 hours, so, improvement lol.

This is the most realistic run I've had yet. My guy has only survived a week cuz he's hardly left the house. He's only killed 8 zombies, and still managed to get injured. He spends most of his time huddled in a corner, eating canned food, reading, and listening to the radio.
