I’m sorry everyone that I did not post anything in the past month. My blog was having issues, so I’ve been turning plugins off and on, installing new ones, testing things, and I didn’t want new posts to add another variable. Anyway, I think the problem was bots, but I’m still working my way through plugins in case. I’ve finally taken the maintenance banner down, as long as things keep working, but that’s why it’s been up.
Other than that… I haven’t played games much. I started a Gale Origin run in BG3 but haven’t gotten very far. I’ve been listening to my usual podcasts and still bingeing Midnight Burger to get caught up with that. I’ve also been listening to “One of Your Girls” by Troye Sivan a lot. I watched KPop Demon Hunters and enjoyed it, fun use of animation. I also found this very funny video parodying those cringe baking TikToks or whatever they are, so here you go 😄 (sorta NSFW?)
Blog/Bookish Updates:
See the intro.
Books I Received for Review:

I got a copy of Ramin Abbas Has Questions by Ahmad Saber, from Simon & Schuster! It’s not SFF, but it is about “a gay Muslim teen who has to choose between being true to himself or his faith—and his realization that maybe they aren’t as separate as he thought.”
I was also supposed to get Heiress of Nowhere by Stacey Lee from Simon & Schuster! But my package got stolen, so please enjoy the ebook cover instead 😅 It’s a historical mystery with, I think, a touch of fantasy about a girl on an island trying to figure out who killed the man who raised her.
Books I Finished:
If you’re considering buying any of these books from Amazon, I’d really appreciate if you’d use my affiliate link!
Shroom for Improvement by Jemma Croft – A low-stress romance between a mushroom fae and a magpie fae. I had some annoyances, let’s call them, but it was cute.

I wish low stress romances were more common! I’ve also been on a string of romances that nagged me. Just read One Giant Leap by Kay Simone, and there’s a lot of suspended disbelief that NASA didn’t have ANYONE (in reality they probably have 10) people ready to take over a key role and instead choose to promote an engineer into a communications role.
It’s funny how the little things can annoy us so much in a book lol.
Phew! I had this tab open the other day and I was going to comment, but I must have closed it inadvertently…then today I remembered you had a post I hadn’t commented on!
Blog issues, great. They’re a pain in the ass no matter what, but the last thing you need is a headache while trying to sort them out. I hope everything’s settled now. Damned bots.
“I was also supposed to get Heiress of Nowhere by Stacey Lee from Simon & Schuster! But my package got stolen”
What? How do you know it? Was it left unattended at your door? What a shame. Anyway, S&S still loves you and sends you great books, so I’m happy for you!
No worries if you miss a post anyway 😅
Seriously, and it’s just so aggravating that people have to go and ruin things for others all the time. Like creating bots that attack websites 😡
I have never seen the baking videos but…oh my ! That’s disturbing. I do love that guys gardening shed though lol
I’m sorry to have been the one to introduce you to them, haha. It is a cute shed!
