Yes, I’m doing my monthly update like two weeks late, on a Thursday. It is what it is! Would’ve felt weirder to not do one at all. I don’t have much to report though. I’ve just been surviving and, shockingly, taking a break from Baldur’s Gate 3 and playing Palia instead. Also shockingly, it turns out Palia doesn’t give me motion sickness, so I’ve actually been able to play it. It is harder on my head/eye problem though and hurts my arm more, so I may need to take a break from it soon. Have been enjoying it though. (If you’re wondering why there’s literal shit in my inventory, that’s fertilizer, and one of the NPCs like receiving it as a gift, so I was bringing it to her lol.)
Oh, I almost forgot! If any of you decide to play (it’s free), here’s my Palia referral link. Two of my friends started playing when I told them about it, but I didn’t know about the link at the time, so I didn’t even get any of the prizes. It’s just some in-game stuff, but one of the decor items is cute.

Blog/Bookish Updates:
Nothing this month.
Books I Received for Review:
I got Seven Wonders by EM Jeanmougin and Jay S. Wright, from the authors. I’ve already read it, review soon!
I got Redneck Revenant by David R. Slayton (audiobook) from the Libro.fm ALC program. I didn’t realize the Adam Binder series would have a continuation, but I really liked those books, so this should be great too!
Books I Finished:
If you’re considering buying any of these books from Amazon, I’d really appreciate if you’d use my affiliate link!
An Amateur Witch’s Guide to Murder by K. Valentin – Demon possession, curses, magic. This was sort of dark but also funny and fun!
Of Monsters and Mainframes by Barbara Truelove – Monsters and AI in space. This was not what I expected from the description, but it still had a cool portrayal of sentient(?) AI and some interesting stuff.
My Roommate From Hell by Cale Dietrich – College student with a demon roommate and fake dating. Another fun one!
🌟 Seven Wonders by EM Jeanmougin & Jay S. Wright – Queer urban fantasy with a spider shifter, various other supernaturals, this time working together to fix a curse. The seventh in one of my favorite series, also a lot of fun! I’d been looking forward to this one.

“(If you’re wondering why there’s literal shit in my inventory, that’s fertilizer, and one of the NPCs like receiving it as a gift, so I was bringing it to her lol.)”
I can imagine you presenting it to her and saying “Here, so you can’t say I don’t give a shit” 😂.
I looked that series up, and it’s cute how every installment is titled after a song…
Ahaha that’s such a good response 😂
I finally caved in and got Palia too as I dont know what to play, so let’s try it out! 🙈 I had been playing sims 2 for a few weeks (used your referral ❤️)
Yay, thanks for using my code! You like chill games, right? Palia feels a little overwhelming at first but is chill, I think you’ll enjoy it.
Yep, I am now obsessed 😅🙈
I’m glad 😄
At least your still posting! lol I can’t seem to motivate myself to post anymore, even though I think about doing it all the time.
My husband has tinnitus and is getting meniere’s disease, so he’s having problems playing his games too. I’m glad you found something you can still play.
I suppose rarely posting is still posting, and that it something lol. I’m sorry to hear about your husband’s health issues, it can be hard to find accessible games, no matter what the problem is.
That game looks really cool! I’m going to bookmark this page so I can use your link when I have time to deep dive into it.
I’ve been having a lot of fun with it, hopefully you’ll like it too if you try it!
