I forgot that I was supposed to make a post today, so it’s a little late. That’s ok. I also posted my Wednesday post on Tuesday. Keeping track of days of the weeks is hard lol.
Anyway it doesn’t matter because I have nothing to talk about! Extra stressed about something and having to use energy that I don’t have, but hopefully it’ll be fine. Exhausted and aching all over from doing some cleaning yesterday. Have a headache, but that’s pretty much the norm.
I’m still playing BG3. I’m doing a bit of a weird, heavily modded run in which I don’t recruit any companions but do add some NPCs to my party. Like this guy! (For anyone who’s played, I’ve also added Abdirak and Kar’niss.)
Oh, I played a tiny bit of Project Zomboid for the first time in maybe over a year. I turned on a bunch of mods I barely remembered and started a new game. This ended up resulting in my character having a coughing fit after smoking a cigarette, a zombie hearing and banging on the door, then OPENING THE DOOR while my character was walking around the house through the back. The coughing was a mod, and I don’t know what the door opening was because I’m pretty sure that’s not supposed to happen lol.
I’ve also been rewatching S1 of Interview with the Vampire so I can finally watch S2. The whole show it great, but that first episode of S1 is just, wow. Gotta be the best single episode of any show I’ve ever seen.
I also watched the movie Booksmart. I think it came out a few years ago? It was good!
Well, I truly can’t think of anything else I did, so…
Blog/Bookish Updates:
Nothing.
Books I Received for Review:
I’m 99% certain I did not get any books for review this month. I really don’t request many anymore.
Books I Finished:
If you’re considering buying any of these books from Amazon, I’d really appreciate if you’d use my affiliate link!
I only read four books in August, but they were all great! And all queer.
✨ The Nightmare Before Kissmas by Sara Raasch – I loved this! A fantasy romance, very sweet and, for me at least, a very hopeful story about being able to change a bad situation.
A Market of Dreams and Destiny by Trip Galey – A very magical and creative, though sometimes sorta dark, take on the goblin market.
Voyage of the Damned by Frances White – Fantasy murder mystery on a ship that I got more and more into the deeper I got.
The Only Light Left Burning by Erik J. Brown – A post-apoc sequel that was surprisingly a lot more heavy than the first book, but still great.
“This ended up resulting in my character having a coughing fit after smoking a cigarette, a zombie hearing and banging down the door, then OPENING THE DOOR while my character was walking around the house through the back.”
See? Smoking is bad for you in so many ways LOL.
Sorry to hear you’re having a rough day (couple of days?), or better, rougher than usual…I’ve given up on cleaning until the heat lets up. It’s 29,5°C (85°F) here, I mean at home, and I’ve been dangling from the end of my rope for weeks now…It’s affected my reading (and reviewing) as well. At least you’ve read some good ones…
The funny thing is, I never pick the smoker trait (you pick good and bad traits for the character). And the one time I try it, I get a door-opening zombie lol.
Even I, with my cold blood, would not want to clean if it were 85 in the house. I can understand why it’s affecting your reading too 🙁
The nightmare before kissmass looks super cute, ilove the cover!!
It was a very cute book, and I love the cover too!
I am sorry to hear about you being stressed, exhausted and having a headache. Sounds like you’re still having fun with Baldur’s Gate. And all the books you read this month all sound good!
Thanks <3
I have been reading slowly lately. I finally finished The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes by Suzanne Collins. It’s the prequel to The Hunger Games. Right now I’m reading Mein Kampf by Adolf Hitler. I just want to see what he said in the book. I have been watching Sweet Tooth, See (really cool show), Raised by Wolves (really cool show), Kaleidoscope, and Only Murders in the Building. I watched an awesome movie called Royal Kill. My boyfriend and I saw Deadpool & Wolverine which was awesome.
You’re probably still doing more reading than me lol. I remember wanting to watch Sweet Tooth when it came out, if it’s the show I’m thinking of, but I end up thinking that about a lot of shows and then never watching them. I’ve never heard of Royal Kill, glad it was great!
I’m sorry things are stressful right now – I hope whatever is going on gets resolved soon in a good way. I can totally relate to not knowing what day of the week it is, though, ha!
Thanks you <3 Even after this post, I just keep losing track and forgetting to post blog posts 😬
*waves hi* I’ve been out of the loop but I like to check in 🙂
I don’t really play – or know about – any games but I saw this one on my news feed last week and thought of you lol
The BG3 game btw
It took me a moment because I read the comment without looking at the post, but then I was like, “Well it’s probably the game I haven’t shut up about for ten months lol.”
Hi! I’m always out of the loop anymore lol. Always glad to be thought of when someone sees a game I love 😁
