Book Recs: 10 Queer Christmas-Themed Sci-Fi/Fantasy Books (2)

It’s been a couple years since I did a Christmas books recommendation post. To be honest, I didn’t read any Christmas books last year. But they can be lovely when you’re in the right mood, especially in December! So I’ve finally found some more books for people to enjoy. Specifically queer ones, even though all my holiday lists have at least some queer books. I haven’t read most of these, so they’re not personal recommendations, but they sound cute!

The Nightmare Before Kissmas by Sara Raasch

This one is a personal recommendation, one of my favorite books that I’ve read this year! It’s a sweet, sexy, hopeful story with a heaping spoonful of Christmas spirit.

Upon the Midnight Queer by ‘Nathan Burgoine

This one is a collection of Christmas stories and retellings, but queer! And I’ve been told most of them have a bit of romance and a bit of magic.

Little Miss Santa Claws by Beka Westrup

Santa’s daughter takes on the job of delivering gifts, but it goes wrong, and she needs a little help to save Christmas. This is one of the few sapphic books I found, and it sounds really cute.

The Orc Who Hated Christmas by Gigi Rivers

A romance between a Christmas hating orc and a Christmas loving pixie. Sounds light and fun, and I’m always happy to find books about less common supernaturals.

A Little Lie by Max Turner

This is one I have read, and thought it was adorable! A sweet and steamy novella about fae beings living among humans, finding each other at Christmas time.

Love Lights by Emily AntoinetteMistletoe by Lyn Gardner&Vixen by Emmaline StrangeCursed at Christmas by Jax StuartWhen the Glow Lights the Woods by Eule Grey

Love Lights by Emily Antoinette

A lonely man is saved from a Christmas decorating accident by a mothman who claims they’re mates. This one sounds so cute, and I’ve never read about a mothman before.

Mistletoe by Lyn Gardner

A girl wishes for her soulmate, but the wish gets lost, and now that she’s an adult, Santa wants to make it up to her. This sounds like a fun, sappy Hallmark movie kinda book.

&Vixen by Emmaline Strange

This is a short story (or novelette?) about a Christmas hating reindeer shifter and a Christmas loving veterinarian who helps him, thinking at first he’s just a reindeer. I’ve read this one, it’s cute!

Cursed at Christmas by Jax Stuart

Fated mates romance between a man cursed by a warlock and therefore not a big fan of them and a man who is a warlock, set in a supernatural town. I like the idea of supernatural towns, and this sounds like a good story.

When the Glow Lights the Woods by Eule Grey

Ok I read the description for this and still have no idea what it’s about 😅 But it mentions Christmas, and one review said it’s post-apocalyptic. So I’m intrigued, and it’s going on the list.
